Al Udeid Air BaseThis position is contingent upon contract award and is located at Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB), Qatar.The Lifeguard will monitor activities at swimming pool to prevent accidents and to provide assistance to swimmers,maintains order in pool and pool areas, rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid, inspectsfacilities for cleanliness, cleans pool and pool areas including bathhouse, determines chlorine content and pH value of water using water testing kit, and records readings.
The Lifeguard will check in and out items such as towels and personal items, conduct or officiate at swimming meets, and give swimming instruction.
The AUAB Lifeguard(s) will manage pool area and associated restroom / bathhouse supplies, sign-in and sign-out logs, perform chlorine level checks chlorine levels, changing / adding empty chlorine barrels, and neutralizing pH levels services and notify the USG when levels are not to standard.
Facility checks will be in compliance on a strict schedule. The Lifeguard will manage for safe operating conditions, manage safety and lifesaving equipment, and notify swimmers and management when unsafe conditions exist.
All lifeguard duties will be performed in a standard company issued uniform to identify lifeguard personnel.The lifeguard will be capable of functioning as an emergency responder and, as such, may be exposed to blood-
borne pathogens.All lifeguards will observe swim areas for safety, rescue swimmers in trouble, administer first aid, and call for medical assistance when needed.
Lifeguards will enforce all safety rules and regulations, conduct maintenance and sanitation tasks, and supervise proper use of the facility.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands : Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech / hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning / organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum RequirementsMinimum requirements : + Possess two (1) or more years’ experience performing duties as listed in the responsibilities described above with advanced skills in swimming and water rescue techniques, cardio-
pulmonary resuscitation with the capability to supervise lifeguards and rescue swimmers in distress.+ Must be able to apply resuscitation, administer medical aid when necessary and manage the pool general appearance and cleanliness while providing continual lifeguard supervision and duties.
Certificates are required to be current at all times.+ Possess a Medical certificate stating physically capable of performing lifeguard duties.
