  • Serves customers by sellingproducts and meeting customer needs.
  • Servicesexisting accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts byplanning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing orpotential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying thetype of sales outlet or trade factor.
  • Focusessales efforts by studying existing and potential volume ofdealers.
  • Submits orders by referring to pricelists and product literature.
  • Keeps managementinformed by submitting activity and results reports, such as dailycall reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territoryanalyses.
  • Monitors competition by gatheringcurrent marketplace information on pricing, products, new products,delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy byevaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems,developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendationsto management.
  • Maintains professional andtechnical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewingprofessional publications, establishing personal networks, andparticipating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records onarea and customer sales.
  • Contributes to teameffort by accomplishing related results as needed.
