Doha*Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted*Only Native Arabic Speaker may apply Employment : PermanentLocation : Doha, QatarIndustry : AgricultureMain role : To support HQ and subsidiaries end user departments in procuring material / services under the supervision of Manager-Shared Services / Senior Buyer.

Responsibilities : · Processes all material / service requests from end users in according to the company’s procurement policies and procedures.

  • Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts department or initiator to clarify or complete information;
  • determines method to process requisition based on amount and timeliness required.· Identifies vendors to procure requisitioned products / services, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and places orders.

  • Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ)· Process and issue Purchase Order (PO) as per approved Evaluation Report and Purchase Requisition (PR)· Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of material / services· Prepare and update procurement log· Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures· Identify and source new suppliers and vendors· Oversee supplier compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations· Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements· Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders· Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures· Meet sales representatives to develop new sources of supplies, securing favorable terms;
  • update records and files and secures samples, descriptions, catalogues or information for departments.· Resolves purchasing problems between department and vendor.

  • Monitors market changes, prices and products and source new products and alternative suppliers.· Maintains frequent contacts with vendors and other designated purchasing staff of other departments.
  • Assist senior buyer for Internal Audit and State AuditSkills & Competence Requirements : · Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market in area of specialization.· Expertise in preparing and analyzing technical specifications and bids.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.· A high degree of commercial awareness, negotiating and team working skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.· Ability to meet targets; work independently and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as price lists, catalogs, requisitions, vendor quotes and invoices.· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence both in Arabic and English as required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages, etc.· Have a business-like approach and be able to absorb and assess information quickly.
