1.Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, reviewand participate in the work of technical assigned staff.
2.Create and maintain service and maintenance schedulesfor City of Forest Grove vehicle fleet and equipment; scheduleappointments with departments and outside agencies for vehicleservice, including DEQ air quality testing services;
determine andcoordinate daily work priorities for shop.
3.Generate computerized repair orders and track progressthrough completion; ensure repair orders and timesheets ofemployees in shop are complete and accurate;
registers and insuresnew City vehicles;
4.Acts as City’sunderground storage tank operator as required by State of Oregon;performs mandatory annual and monthly reporting to the State;
monitors City’s gas station and performs required leaktests.
5.Perform skilled mechanic dutiesincluding troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing gasoline anddiesel powered automotive, heavy and light construction and otherpower-driven equipment.
