Planning / Scheduling

  • Implement a high-level and effectiveproject / construction management framework that plans and definesthe works schedule.
  • Define and implement toolsthat will assist in the control and management of theproject.
  • Co-ordinate and direct contractors toensure schedules and targets are achieved throughout the projectlifecycle.
  • Lead and oversee any opportunityfor value management in conjunction with the appointedcontractor / consultant team.
  • Have awareness ofthe project budget, including risk allowance.
  • Monitor and control changes / variations following approvalby Client
  • Monitor compliance with constructionprogram and identify opportunities for improveddelivery.
  • RiskManagement

  • Proactively identify potential problems, conflicts,design and delivery issues using risk management tools and skillsto mitigate impact on the project
  • ProtectFaithful+Gould’s contractual position at all times andbring to the attention of the Project Director any issues of apolitical or commercially sensitive nature
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed whereapplicable.
  • Site

  • Establish the project site and facilities incoordination with the hotel operations team and appointedcontractor
  • Oversee the effective operation ofthe site through conducting regular site visits and qualitychecks
  • People

  • Invest in sound people management principlesto ensure that the team of staff, contractors and stakeholdersworks well and provides a supportive environment for theachievement of project and individual objectives
  • Managing the welfare and motivation of Faithful+Goulddirect reports, such as Construction Managers, Assistant Managersand Administration Assistants providing leadership, guidance andencouragement
  • ContractManagement

  • Provide input and feedback to the Project Director onpossible issue and conflicts at the project site.
  • Be aware of the project contract and use were necessaryto ensure the appointed contractor is compliant with terms andconditions as necessary.
  • Chair meetings andensure minutes are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely regular and accurate reporting on theproject for input into the project defined reportingprocess.
  • Review and provide input on monthlycontractor’s payment applications, variations andinvoices.
  • ClientManagement

  • Actively seek and implement strategies to improve theclient’s position in regard to return andvalue.
  • Identity and resolve disputes quicklyand reasonably.
  • Develop and maintain excellentrelationships with client representatives, consultants, contractorsand adjoining property owners.
  • Manage andcoordinate the project handover phase with contractors, clientcontractors, tenants and building managers.
