This position will serve as a credit analyst and is responsible for providing administrative support to IHF division and their customers along with the responsibility of processing applications, review financial statements and related documentation efficiently for the purpose of assessing the credit worthiness of customers.

The focal points of the financial analyst are customer service and risk management. The Financial Analyst must be competent in the technical aspects of processing applications after determining the credit worthiness of the customer by visiting business units and evaluating financial statements.

Main Responsibilities of the role :

  • Analyse credit data and financial statements to assess credit worthiness of existing and prospective customer ensuring all documents are in accordance with the credit policy.
  • Takes actions necessary to collect and verify information required to process credit applications and to assess risk. This includes visiting customer premises and contacting concerned persons.

    Combine IHF credit guidelines with professional judgment to recommend the level of credit to be extended to each customer.

    Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit. Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.

    Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.

    Confer with Qatar credit bureau and other business representatives to exchange credit information. Complete loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to credit approval committees for approval.

    Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers' financial status. Uses spreadsheets and other automated or manual processes to compile required documentation and reports that will be used, in part, as presentation tools for Credit Committee meetings.

    This includes creating detailed summaries and recommendations as to the credit decisions. Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any documentation deficiencies, and report to loan officer and credit administration as needed for timely resolution.

  • Review loan files as needed to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with lending guidelines. Other duties, as assigned.
  • Skills and Experience :

    The ideal candidate should have the following :

  • Proven working experience as a credit analyst.
  • Adaptable, confident, reliable and motivated graduate with strong time management skills, a very good eye for detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, analytical, numerical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and teamworking skills are also essential.
