The SiteEngineer (Roads) will assist the Senior Site Engineer and theResident Engineer in administering the operational functions of theday-to-day activities on the project.
The Site Engineer willparticipate in review and approval of all submittals by thecontractors and involves in the quality control and qualityassurance.
Will lead the work inspectors to ensure that allconstruction activities have been perform as per the contract andspecifications.
Under the generalsupervision, performs routine inspection monitoring tasks toconfirm if proper construction supervision is being performed byothers.
Inspects various facets of work on the construction siteand performs continuous surveillance of assigned constructionactivities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes,standards, and specifications.
Document non-conformance and mayparticipate in determining appropriate resolution. Inspectionactivities are usually concentrated in one of the following areas : soils, concrete, mechanical, or electrical.
Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activitiesfor assigned area.
Collaborates withconstruction management to eliminate any hazards associated withthe work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety orhealth of employees.
Ensures thatpersonnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices incompliance with site specific safety procedures and industrystandards.
Establishes and maintainsliaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings andspecifications to ensure current re vision level and correcttechnical execution of the work.
Providesresolution for technical engineering problems within the assigneddiscipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
Develops discipline construction schedules andmonitors progress.
Provides schedule andprogress appraisal report to the Resident Engineer.
Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensuretimeliness in support of construction activities and schedulewithin the assigned discipline.
Ensuresthat materials received meet specifications and establishedstandards of quality.
Organizes theaccumulation of assigned discipline data for the final projectturnover and report.
Initiates andmaintains records, back charge procedures, progress reports, etc.,as required.
Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.
