a) Knowledge and experience of commercialissues relating to staff, labour, and support services, subcontractdisciplines, plant stores and material control andpurchasing.

b) An understanding of thefinancial / commercial implications of tender documentation andcontract strategy e.g. conditions of contract, programmerequirements etc.

c) Ability to analyse contractualfinancial information and to present it in a clear manner withrecommendations

d) To implement the procedures for theadministration of subcontracts and purchase orders for the supplyof materials, equipment and services.

e) To assist inthe preparation of contract strategy and tender documentation toensure that returns can be accurately assessed financially.

f) Review pre-contract the appropriateness of contractdocumentation such as conditions of contract and programme, andadvice of any issues requiring clarification.

g)Prepare or evaluate claims for additional time or costs and assistin negotiating these.

h) Prepare a forecast of theoutturn value of the contract with the potential with potentialcosts and margin, and continually track and report on this,advising suitable remedial action.
