About The Position :
In this role, you will be working within the Corporate Planning team, the Corporate Planning Manager will be responsible for developing medium and long-term strategic initiatives, working on day-to-day functions, projects and ad-hoc tasks across the division.
They will manage the analysis and data gathering requests, both internally within corporate planning and between departments.
Within a complex data environment, tasks will involve ensuring teams perform sound analytic processing and comprehensive market research to support informed decision-making within Corporate Planning.
Through his / her team member’s support (or independently), formulate and deliver recommendations for management and the rest of the business (jointly).
The role will steer decision-making and represent Corporate Planning on departmental cross-functional initiatives.
Steer a small team and deliver material on core CP-related activities which support various strategy projects, both internally and externally, on an ad-hoc basis Manage and update QR’s long-term network and fleet plan (on a regular basis) Lead special projects to support / enhance future strategic options from fleet development perspective Manage and update the QR fleet plan including : Collating inputs from various stakeholders to update database Deliver an optimized entry and exit fleet plan on a regular basis Provide supporting material for fleet negotiations as and when requested To share fleet exit plan with other stakeholders on a need-to-know basis Contribute to the ongoing development of all fleet tools and databases Develop business cases to adjust lease end dates in order to maximise profitability Evaluate maintenance plans and coordinate on improving them jointly with Scheduling and Network Planning in order to ensure best availability of productive fleet when required Support the evaluation of aircraft configuration options for new aircraft and retrofits Develop underlying managerial skills and persuasive subject expertise within Strategy and Fleet System evaluation
About You :
Its is essential candidates have a relevant College or University qualification to a minimum Bachelor's level. A relevant advanced Degree including (but not limited to) Aviation, Business Administration, Commerce, Science & Engineering, Finance, Legal, Mathematical or Statistical related field.
A Masters Degree is preferred.
Related supporting aviation qualifications from an accredited organisation, such as IATA are desirable.
Knowledge of analysis and airline / aviation modelling techniques (eg. Boeing spill model, QSI forecasting.
You will have a minimum of 7 years relevant experience,
Its essential candidates have a comprehensive understanding of Commercial aviation economics, strategic planning and business management a well as the ability to work in a multicultural team.
You will have project and contract management experience.
Its preferred Candidates have previous experience within Corporate Planning, having a comprehensive understanding of Fleet Planning.
