The Assistant IT Manageris responsible for managing all local computer technology andservices in the Hotel which can include, but is not limited to : networks, hardware, operating systems, anti-virus, internet accessand all related systems, office automation and email systems,departmental systems for front office, back office, sales &catering, personnel, spa, and other network based softwaresupporting these systems;
and network security andcompliance.
KeyResponsibilities :
Ensure all Corporate IT related policies and proceduresare implemented and audit is being carried out
Solve technical or operational problems as reported bythe users
Ensure that all equipment is inproper working order and application performance isoptimized
Ensure that all 24 / 7 systems (i.e.front office, point of sale, email and internet) are monitored andthat technical service is available any time
Ensure that backups are performed and checked on aregular basis
Ensure that hotel network,systems and data is secured from unwanted intrusion and in linewith stated Kempinski standards and rules and regulations given bylaw
Ensure that IT contingency systems for allkey business areas are in proper working order and that staff aretrained in the switching to, and use of, these contingencysystems
Ensure that the IT organizationalrequirements for legal, data protection and PCI compliance are inplace.
Update all computer systems with thelatest security patches to minimize internal and external accesssecurity risks
In cooperation with all otherdepartment heads; design and implement new computer basedprocedures that will improve profitability, operations and workefficiencies
Coordinate the installation ofall new applications or upgrades of existingapplications
Implement all corporate ITrelated policies and procedures, carry out an annual selfaudit
Provide advice to better expedite accessand improve the use of information in the Hotel
Communicate status, risks and opportunities as it relatesto IT to Corporate & Regional IT, General Manager and HotelManagement
Ensure a business continuity planis established and tested together with the department heads forall part of the business supported by IT
Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at anytime according to the needs of the business and of thehotel
