Job Specification
The purpose of the E,I & C QA / QC Inspector is to interpret the suitability of products andprocesses against the designated specification requirements at scheduled andad-hoc intervals.
The role is applicableto CAT-III projects.
Key Job Accountabilities
Confirm effectiveimplementation of the quality management system and project quality plan
Engage contractorsand applicable third-party organisations with a professional approach andmaintain a good working level relationship.
Fully conversantwith discipline specific, facility related technical specificationrequirements.
Review contractorsquality deliverables in accordance with the requirements and expectations andprovide clear, concise output to the contractor’s quality focal point.
Familiar with IndustrialControl Systems software and processes
Familiar with Electricalsystems such as LV and MV equipments, motors, transformers, switchgears, PDBs,CTs, Relays, UPS, battery bank, lighting fixtures, receptacles and small powerpanels
Familiar withInstrumentation and Control systems such as DCS, ESD, PLCs and Cabinetintegration instruments and transmitters like pressure, Diff pressure, level,flow, RTD & thermocouples with thermowells, gauges, analyzers andinstrument tubing etc.
Familiar with fire& gas, PAGA & telecom systems devices and equipment.
Familiar withCybersecurity and Network equipment such as Servers, Switch, Workstation andso on.
Continuouslymonitor the quality of works in progress at site and other work locations againstthe applicable technical specifications.
Ensure thatcontractor processes and procedures are properly and effectively implemented.
Perform material / equipment site receipt inspection with additional visual and dimensionalexamination (where practical) to confirm suitability and fit for purpose.
Conduct siteinstallation, testing, calibration inspections to confirm product and processquality in line with established quality and technical documents.
Ensure that thelatest revision of project quality documentation is available, and that recordsof product and process conformance are maintained in accordance with thedocument and record control requirements.
Prepare a dailyreport summarising the salient inspection points and quality concerns and coordinatedirectly with the assigned quality focal point regarding any significant issuesidentified.
Manage andparticipate in site quality verification activities (i.e., Quality Walkabout,Surveillance and Audit) and document the outcomes using the applicable inspectionreport template.
Record andfacilitate the follow-up and close-out of identified non-conformances.
Act as the eyesand ears’ of project management team to ensure that quality requirements andexpectations are fully satisfied.
Familiar with the companyhealth, safety and environment requirements and ensure that they are adhered toduring project activities.
Prepare a regsisterto record all observations and the proposed solutions according to Policy.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in an Electrical / Instrumentation / Control Systems engineering discipline
Familiar withelectrical and instrumentation specific codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC,NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA, ATEX / IECEX-60079. etc.).
Familiar withquality assurance principles and practices as per ISO 9001
Minimum 8 years ofworking experience as inspection personnel for Oil & Gas projects,preferably in LNG (Greenfield, Brownfield and Shutdowns)
Experience ininspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation andhook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects.
Fluent in bothspoken and written English
