Initiates outreach programs to connect with the communitythus raising awareness around audiology and hearing healthcareissues.
Evaluates and makes decisions aboutaudiologic treatment options taking into account both theoreticaland
therapeutic models and evidenced based practice andcurrent trends in audiological care.
Providesspecialist audiological advice, guidance and consultation to otherprofessionals contributing directly to
patient’s formulation, diagnosis and treatmentplan.
Undertakes risk assessment and risk managementfor individual patients and provides general advice to other
professionals on audiological aspects of risk assessment andmanagement.
Acts as Lead for Audiology research;publishes in peer reviewed journals.
Preparesscientific and technical reports or presentations; Presents atNational & International level at the conferences.
Leads in service development and audiology expansion. Has akey role in procurement, installation, commissioning of audiologytesting facilities and equipment, multi-professional liaison andconsultation.
Ensures program plans for audiologyservices are developed in compliance with departmental policy andregulatory requirements.
Maintains confidentialitywith regards to information exchanged or received in the currentcapacity of role in accordance with departmentalguidelines.
