You will provide mechanical engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the mechanical engineering team.
Provide rotating equipment engineering input to conceptual studies, front end engineering and detailed engineering design for offshore oil & gas facilities including the associated utilities.
Review specifications, data sheets and other information covering rotating equipment and system packages.
Review engineering design deliverables, including rotating equipment selection and specification, design development in coordination with other project disciplines.
Preparation of technical requisition, stipulation of inspection and testing requirement including NDT and documentation.
Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval.
Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to achieving the HSE Vision and its associated requirements.
Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
Quality Assurance responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system
Safety responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
Technical and Industry Experience
Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to WorleyParsons and its customers.
A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
Competent use of mechanical engineering specific software.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Substantial technical land practical experience in mechanical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment
Experience with the development of layouts for new facilities
Experienced in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of rotating equipment packages
Industry-Specific Experience :
Minimum 15 years of mechanical design experience in the oil & gas environment primarily in offshore developments.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Full-time Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
IT Skills :
Familiar with API, ASME / ANSI standards relevant to rotating equipment
