Our Middle East office is currently hiring for an experienced Commercial Manager with outstanding commercial and Legal acumen across multidisciplinary projects.
The successful candidate can be based in either Qatar or the UAE.Working across the Project Management Teams in the Middle East, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in the following responsibilities : Authorizing and negotiating contracts while owning the commercial aspects of projects.
Manage all key commercial development activities including variations and delivery extensions, monitor financial performance and manage compliance auditing.
Lead the contracts and commercial aspects across all contract phases of major projects.Review projects for effective contract management.
Develop and mentor junior members of the team.Liaise and coordinate with the multi-disciplinary project teams including contractor, subcontractors, and authority liaison.
Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts.Understanding, identifying, and assessing project risks.
What you will bring to the teamDegree qualified (MMUP Grade A registered Quantity Surveyor is required for a candidate based in Qatar).
Experience up to 20 years’ with 10 years as a Commercial Manager.Experience in delivering a diverse range of pre / post-contract projects such as large residential, commercial, educational, medical / hospital and infrastructure developments.
Strong personal brand with established client relationships.Business Development and Marketing capability.High level understanding of commercial frameworks and drivers of construction contractors, government, semi-government, and private-sector clients.
Highly developed and open communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to influence others through sound negotiating skills.
Knowledge and understanding of local authority regulations, guidelines, and contracts.Middle East experience and a working knowledge of design and construction practices specific to the Middle East Region is a must.
