Responsible for effectively managing the company’s planning function to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled, and contribution to the company’s operating profit by effective plans and increases the value added to the company.
3. Planning Procedurea. Assist in the preparation of realistic and effective Programme of Works’ of each project in accordance with the requirement of the projects team within the framework of the company objectivesb.
Supervises the assignments given to the Planning Engineers and ensure that those are completed on timec. Check, review, correct and approve all implementation plans prepared at sites by the planning engineersd.
Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progresse. Monitor the plan versus actual progress charts (histograms / S Curves).
Analyze and report deviations from planf. Review and forward the weekly and monthly dashboards to the management with required recommendationsg.
Prepare paper for inclusion in the company’s Business Plan, update the management on project progress; also advise on general planning matters and inform of relevant changes in projects and advise of any likely impact of such changes.
Be involved in discussing and influencing all aspects of the Planning related business.h. Prepare tender programs, baseline programs, weekly dashboardsi.
Experience of Extension of Times (EOTs)4. Staffa. Ensure the staff with the right caliber are recruited in the planning department in accordance with company policy and proceduresb.
Lead, motivate, communicate, develop, appraise and manage the Planning Engineers to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company’s needsc.
Ensure the department operates in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and that the staff gain a detailed knowledge of development opportunitiesd.
Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Health & Safety Policy in order to ensure a safe environment for the department employees5.
Meetingsa. Attend management meetings and planning meetings and keep the management team fully informed of issues and progressb.

Proficiency in the English Language is a mustEducation / Experience : · BE / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or equivalent· Fifteen (15) years of related experience of which minimum five (5) years’ in the GCC· Master’s Degree in Management is preferable· Certified PMP & PSP is preferable· In addition, must be knowledgeable of current Primavera Enterprise Systems (P6) scheduling technology and how it can effectively be utilized on the project.
