Civil / Structural Engineer

In this role you will supervise Consultants and Contractors in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will help to define scope of work, verify design criteria, manage schedule, costs, and project progress.
Determine budget estimates and manage variations, scope and schedule.
Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable.
Monitors and reports on progress on site while managing quality of works.
Provides technical direction, making decisions.
Ensures compliance between design and construction on-site.
Maintains frequent communication with Client, Consultants and Contractors.
Advises engineering and project management regarding any problem areas, delays, scope changes, or other events which could effect project completion.
Initiates and / or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.
Recommends design methods, equipment use, etc.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in structural / civil engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10+ years experience in Civil / Structural engineering on infrastructure projects involving design and construction works
Solid knowledge of codes, design manuals and construction practices.
Good written and oral communication.
Proven ability to perform key technical role.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project
