The College of the North Atlantic Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Recruitment Specialist in the Human Resources Department Reporting to the Section Head Recruitment and Immigration the Recruitment Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Human Resources Department in fully implementing the College s mission and vision College of the North Atlantic Qatar Profile The beautiful and culturally progressive State of Qatar is home to a robust TVET higher education institution College of the North Atlantic Qatar CNAQ Established to meet the ambitious and visionary goals of the State of Qatar CNAQ is a partnership between the State of Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic in Canada CNAQ a national technical college fills the State s need for graduates who have applied technical training in their fields of study The stateoftheart campus hosts around 600 staff and 3000 students CNAQ is the third largest postsecondary institution in Qatar offering 34 advanced diploma diploma and certificate programs in a range of technical areas including Business Management Information Technology Engineering Technology Industrial Trades Health Sciences and General Education In September 2020 the College started offering its first Applied Bachelor Programs which provide a highquality mix of theory and applied analytical vocational and occupational skills and competences coupled with careeroriented practical education and training Since CNAQ s inception the College has graduated thousands of alumni who are proudly contributing to a knowledgebased economy Duties and Responsibilities This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide input to the development of the yearly plan for Recruitment as well as collaborate with the Recruitment and Immigration Section Head and all Department and School Heads to develop CNAQ s annual workforce plan Candidates will develop interview questions and assessment methods conduct interviews as well as ensuring the use of the appropriate techniques and facilitating the hiring of the most suitable candidate The candidate will also maintain a pool of qualified candidates for each position advertised from the applications that have been received The successful candidate will contribute to organizing and attending recruitment events and job fairs to meet with potential candidates and promote CNAQ to the local and international market The successful candidate will develop conditional offers acceptance rejection letters and engage with candidates in a timely manner in alignment with CNAQ s established policies and procedures and processes Responsibilities also include supporting the Recruitment and Immigration Section Head in the development of an overall Qatarization Plan which includes Qatarization targets and determine which positions can be Qatarized As well as developing a Qatari Talent pool ensuring highlevel candidates are sourced and managed The Recruitment Specialist will liaise with Government Agencies and Government Employment Portals to support Promoting the recruitment and retention of Qatari nationals
