Following a specific directive from HH The Emir of Qatar, theCollegeofMedicine (CMED) was founded in 2014 as a joint initiativebetweenQatarUniversity and Hamad Medical Corporation, the mainhealthcareproviderin Qatar.

CMED is envisioned to become a nationalprovider ofhighlyqualified doctors to serve the medical healthcare needsofcommunitieswithin Qatar from 2022.

The mission of CMED alsoincludescomprehensiveengagement in leading health-related medicalresearch. Thisactivity isvital as research forms the basis of advancesinunderstanding thecauses of, and therapeutic approaches to, all human disease.

Duties & Responsibilities1. Teach courses in the area of expertise suchasbutnot limited to Research methodology and Clinicalepidemiologyandrelated areas,2.

Contribute to variouscommitteesatthe Program, College, andUniversitylevel3. Contribute to the research profile oftheCollege through researchpublications4.

Contributetothe teaching of theCollege through serving as astudenttutor / advisor5. Other responsibilities asassigned bythe Head of Department

Qualifications

1. Ph.D. inbiomedicalsciencerelevant to this area or equivalentrelatedresearchexperience2. Strongresearchengagement as evidenced by peer reviewed publications,grants,researchadministration, research reviewing, conferencepresentations andrelatedareas ofengagement 3.

Directexperiencein successful supervisionofPhDstudents4. TeachingexperienceatPhDandMasters’levels 5. Familiarwitheducational approaches & technologies usedinHEsector6.

Willingness toworkwithteams 7. Awarenessofworkingwith peoplefromdiversebackgrounds8. Excellentwritten andoral communication skills
