Job SummaryAs Marketing & Communications Specialist you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of the hotel’s Marketing & PR strategies, supporting the overall goals and objectives of the hotel.
Acting as a true Brand Ambassador, in this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all content, promotional material, print collaterals and activations are aligned with the brand standards, tone of voice and visual identity.
You will work on both internal and external projects to help elevate the Westin brand within the local market, the media and within the hotel team.
Supporting with events, photoshoots, activities and media relationships makes for a dynamic and exciting role where each day can differ from the next.
Creativity, flexibility, Photography, videography and a great team attitude is key for this role.Core Work Responsibilities Takes the lead in all brand related projects and activations, both internal and external working with marketing, digital, graphic designer and PR persons Acts as Brand Ambassador, driving top level of brand standards by doing regular internal Brand Audit checks Manages and executes all off-
line related activity such as promotional material, flyers and print collaterals ensuring at all times that brand standards are kept to a high and consistent standard Assists with copy writing for all promotional and web content Maintain and continually improve the hotel library of photography, video and other electronic media.
Works with the operational departments on all promotional listings and monthly planning Works closely with Marketing & Social Media responsible on required assets for web and digital content Champions working with the operation on all Marriott loyalty rewards Maintains up-
to-date knowledge on the Hotels product and service offerings, and the products, services, rates and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.
Generate buzzworthy ideas for hotel events based on knowledge of the local market and hotels objectives. Supports Marketing Manager in administrative tasks when necessary such as hosting media / arranging stays Media requests, checking daily newspapers and online for coverage, PR& Marketing reports, attending media and influencer events Maintain updated press kit materials, including press releases, fact sheets, bios, biography, etc Assist with photo and film shoots on property including any external requests Ensures that property is following all of Marriot’s Public Relations, social media, content and Marketing Policies and Procedures to verify compliance Support Marketing Manager in all CSR activities When necessary, assist hotel operations team at eventsOthers : Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
