About the Job :

This role is responsible for enabling a well-organized day-to-day transport operation by supporting the QR Transportation Department Management Team and Qatar Airways User Groups in Doha through effective and efficient planning, supervising, and accomplishing all transport activities in a timely, safe, and economical manner.

You will be overseeing and scheduling day to day activities of 3rd Party Logistics Supplier drivers and vehicles. You will be in frequent contact with the management team regarding fleet and driver status, obstacles faced, poor driver performance and operational issues to ensure quality service is provided to all Qatar Airways User Groups.

You will ensure accuracy and completion of all data entry procedures and / or reports that pertain to Transport Operations.

You will coordinate with the third party logistics suppliers to ensure that all contractual issues like replacement vehicles, registration, drivers, new vehicles etc.

are being completed in a timely manner. You will also be responsible in maintenance planning and liaison and 3rd party logistics suppliers and assist with the development of IT resources in support of the transport business.

About You :

In order to be successful in this role, you need to hold a relevant Vocational or Trade qualification or an equivalent with minimum 4 years of job related experience.

A Diploma or related qualification in Logistics will be an added advantage. You should have experience dealing with the third party logistic supplier contracts and knowledge in vehicle maintenance planning.

You should also have experience working with Transportation Management Systems that include but not limited to real-time vehicle GPS tracking, auto-

dispatching, In-vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), and multiple system interfaces.

Basic knowledge and understanding of State of Qatar road transport laws and regulations will be preferred for this role.

We are looking for someone with driving experience which includes customer processing, route delivery procedures and basic security and operational procedures.

You should be someone with good organising and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of organisation and be extremely flexible.

You must have intermediate or higher knowledge on MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You will be required to work in shifts if selected for this role.
