About your Job : :
As Lead Audit Officer (Security) responsible for interpreting International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Annex 17 and Security Document 8973 / 9 and Qatar Civil Aviation regulations such as the National Civil Aviation Security Program (NCASP).
Responsible for ensuring that all audits, for all facility processes and airport infrastructure (such as passenger Screening, staff screening, airport perimeter system, access control and baggage screening) are completed in line with the standard operating procedure for quality assurance audits.
Will work closely with operational managers both within HIA Security, as well as Security contractors to ensure that audits are conducted properly.
Create Audit plans according to the areas specified within the Annex 17 of ICAO, Security document 8973 / 9, NCASP and HIA Airport Security Program (ASP) based on demand, compliance and priority.
Manage the timely running of the programmed audits and quality assurance activities by evaluating and reviewing the output reports from the audits, in order to ensure that the proper corrective actions are taken.
Where compliance deficiencies are identified, implement the corrective Action plan provided by the Security Audit Officer in order to ensure compliance and ongoing countermeasures are taken.
Monitor and identify possible security breaches in new opening areas of HIA and making recommendations based on observation and inspection in order to avoid any security breach or threat.
Attend Security Operational Trials and identify whether the correct Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) are in place and properly implemented in order to plan the correct audit scheme.
Identify gaps in infrastructure that will impact the security of the overall operations within the airport through onsite visits and inspections in order to ensure compliance.
Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About you : : Essential
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor’s level or equivalent.
ICAO / IATA Security qualification in Aviation Security (AVSEC) quality assurance IAuditing.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Aviation Security quality assurance and quality control.
Ability to conduct audit activity in line with ICAO.
Strong report writing skills.
Strong competencies of all major Microsoft applications - Word IPPT IExcel etc.
Detailed knowledge airport operations including international regulations in Annex 17, Doc.8973 10 NCASP
Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
