Job briefWe are looking for an experienced Information Technology Manager (IT Manager) to be responsible for the secure and effective operation and compliance of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software that are used within our company.

The IT Manager will primarily provide operational management of the Corporate Business IT Infrastructure in accordance with its contractual duties and obligations, be responsible for organization-wide systems and information technology, provide day to day management of IT staff and will also provide BAU operational support activities and subject matter expertise across the business.

You will organize and oversee technology implementation (i.e., MS Dynamics, SharePoint, Office365 ) and procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent IT Manager must be well-versed in hardware, software and network technology and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

The candidate should have an understanding of the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational and support skills.The goal will be to work closely with all the company teams to support and enable their activities and future growth.

The IT Manager will ensure ERP Implementation (MS Dynamics) is delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

ResponsibilitiesManagement· Provide overall direction and control of the IT team and overall IT resource use and allocation.

  • Manage the day-to-day contracted and operational deliverables of the Corporate Business IT Infrastructure.· Hire IT staff and allocate responsibilities.
  • Evaluate project performance against goals and take necessary action to address deviations.· Drive efficiencies and linkages between departments.
  • Policy & Procedures· Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.

  • Plan all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.· Establish a governance system for IT security, infrastructure, hardware, and software (desktop and SaaS)· Direct the preparation of and present managerial and policy issues, with recommendations on matters related to the ERP implementation design and construction, to executive management and advise on related issues.
  • Advise in the development of strategies and resolution of major problems.· Direct the establishment of goals, major priorities.
  • Balance risks with rewards· Provide policy direction to assigned major functional areas.· Provide subject matter expertise to Management in support of the delivery of IT related Hardware and Systems.
  • Collaboration· Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement.· Design, support and were applicable lead internal training and workshops for staff.

  • Collaborate with Project Department, Commercial Department and Acquisitions Department to determine the needs and specifications of ERP implementation.
  • Establish and maintain effective business and working relationships with internal staff, contractors, and suppliers.Reporting & Audits· Provide operational IT system reporting and metrics for Board reporting and for senior staff.
  • Ensure regular checks are being performed on network and data security elements.· Conduct regular system audits and ensure comprehensive reporting is provided.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.Acquisitions· Support Executive staff in the chartering or sponsoring of projects in your areas of responsibility.
  • Identify, analyze, and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems in line with company processes.· Ensure every project supports the right business goals.
  • Link all projects into the business strategy.· Focus on achieving strategic business objectives.· Direct the implementation of project goals and objectives, policies, work standards, and controls for staff and consultants.
  • Participate in the letting of service contracts (subcontracts).· Approve; cost estimates, staffing plans, and schedules.
  • Obtain any permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.· Participate in the Negotiation Team on contracts with external vendors to reach equitable agreements.
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.Requirements· Proven experience as IT manager· BSc / BA in computer science or relevant field· 5+ years of experience in related field· Experience in information technology and solving various software and hardware problems.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office365, SharePoint and MS Dynamics implementations.· Familiarity with construction / project management software· Strong technical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills· Excellent organizational and time-management skills· A team player with leadership abilities· Must be fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles will be an advantage.Job Types : Full-time, Contract, PermanentPay : QAR12,000.
