Key customer benefits include improved asset productivity and energy savings.You will be working as a Senior Service Engineer and will be a part of the Industrial Automation business for Energy Industries Business line based in Doha, Qatar.

In this role you will be executing medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers. Co-operating with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilitiesService Delivery : Performing medium to high complex service task like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repair independently, identifying technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.

Customer Approach : Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation.

Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifying new sales opportunities & using convincing skills to influence the client for the complete service portfolio.

Materials and Supply : Coordinating, preparing and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities.

Preparing standard lists for ease of work.Documentation and Reports : Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.

Reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed. Creating standards or job durations.Troubleshooting : Identifying potential equipment failures and proactive corrective actions.

Troubleshooting complex equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.Operational Excellence : Identifying suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discussing them with management for changes.

Processes and Tools : Applying functional processes considering links to other teams.Safety and Integrity : Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your backgroundA bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in control and instrumentation field with at least 4 years of experience as a lead customer support or lead project engineer in system 800xA based Power Management Systems preferable in chemical, oil and gas industry.
