About Your Job

As a Commercial Planning Interline and Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for leading the interline department within Qatar Airways Cargo.

You will be developing and maintaining relationships with other airlines, for the purpose of establishing and growing interline traffic flows at optimal cost.

You will be responsible for monitoring the interline relationships on an on-going basis, to ensure that both parties are meeting / exceeding expected standards, and QR Cargo is continuing to benefit for a particular relationship.

You will be involved in developing new cargo markets, destinations, products, and special cargo projects.

Tactical and Operational :

  • Identify potential airline partners, negotiating interline agreements and related services with service providers, overseeing finalized agreements and reviewing existing contracts to continue existing contracts to maximize revenue generation capabilities.
  • Act as a relationship manager for all airline partners.
  • Identify any long term systemic problems in QR Cargo relationships with its airlines (OAL) , and taking the required steps to correct these problems.
  • Propose / introduce interline option related to new routes, and be responsible for communicating to the network about existing and new interline agreements.
  • Manage the administration of all aspects of airline partnerships, and coordinating with all internal QR stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cargo offices on information flow for new routes and products.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Regional Cargo Managers, and VP Cargo Sales, in forming sales strategies for the regions and exploring network opportunities for QR Cargo.
  • About You

    To be successful in this role you will be educated to degree level, preferably in a commercially oriented field with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in interline and agreements, preferably from within the Airline Cargo industry .

    You will have existing relationships within the airline cargo industry.

    You will have hands-on experience in air cargo sales, marketing, and revenue management and a good track record of negotiating special service agreements.

    An experienced and proven negotiator, you will possess strong decision-making and problem solving skills. Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills are the key to success in this role together with strong commercial acumen.

    You should be able to spot and interpret market trends.

    Effective communication skills in spoken and written English are essential.
