The role of Sales Support Specialist will be a part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division based in Doha, Qatar. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots.

Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

In this role, you will support front end sales team with professional back-end support for Low and Medium Voltage motors.

Take up customer discussions directly for selected products / service to finalize technical and commercial proposal with customer directly.

Tasks : Main Accountabilities :

  • Ensure quality offers and fast response time
  • Followup with customers related to standards offers prepared to technically and commercially close the order
  • Ensure KPIs are met like time to quote, accuracy of quotation etc.
  • Independent offering of LV motors
  • Motor selection based on customer requirements using tools like Drivesize / Motsize, Cuussamo etc.
  • Technical and commercial Offer preparation
  • Preparation of spare part offers using BOL / factory support
  • Preparation of offers for complete RMMG service portfolio
  • Updating databases(Customer, supplier, Risk Review)
  • Co-ordinating for supplier offers
  • Co-ordinating service team to ensure ontime order booking, time sheet entry and revenues
  • Sales order processing and booking in SAP
  • Issuing POs, and placing orders on factory via, Email, BOL and Cscot and followup to ensure on time delivery
  • Co-ordinate shipping documents with customer and factory.
  • Ensure we have professional templates for all product lines and implement a consistent offering touch and feel to the customer for RMMG as a whole
  • Consult SM and FES with the right selection / variant codes of motors vs customer specification / project requirements and competition.
  • Support sales to be technically and commercially positioned in the optimal way

  • Ensure price list are available and effective communication channels of both sales support team for smooth and fast offering
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, lunch and learn sessions and conduct training sessions for customers and key stakeholders
  • Provide support for receivables collection
  • Requirements :

    Ideally you should have a diploma / degree in engineering with a minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with comprehensive technical understanding of a) Low Voltage Motors, b) Medium Voltage Motors.

    Strong understanding of electrical surface equipment specifically variable frequency drives (including End-user specifications and international standards) is required.

    Strong technical expertise in motors is a big plus. Experience in ABB Factory tools MotSize, Drive Size, Cuusamo is preferred.
