The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities By using a consultative approach to selling this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers Proactively plan identify generate and manage new opportunities to support large scale business developmentAct as a contact between a company and its existing and potential marketsNegotiate the terms of an agreement and closing salesGather market and customer informationNegotiate on price costs delivery and specifications with buyers and managersAdvise on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotionsCreate detailed proposal documents often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customerReview sales performance aiming to meet or exceed targetsGain a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirementsIdentify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends market activities and competitors
