1.Role Objective :

The incumbent will act as the dedicated point of contact for the (U) HNWI clients on behalf of Doha Bank, ensuring enhanced banking experience, in compliance with the compliance / regulatory guidelines.

The incumbent will be responsible for augmenting the service delivery / business development of Private Banking department, including but not limited to product sales / income generation, acquisition and retention of clients, investment analysis, arranging optimal financial solutions, and resolving client issues / queries.

The incumbent will review credit applications from customers to provide recommendations to senior management on lending viability.

2.Detailed Roles and Responsibilities :

OPERATIONAL

  • Perform all operational activities as assigned by the Head of Private Banking, to meet the directives of Private Banking department of Doha Bank.
  • Identify and generate new business for the Private Banking department and prepare individual business plans and propositions for potential (U) HNWI clients assigned within the dedicated branch.
  • Monitor accounts of clients to analyze its performance and suggest suitable means to augment earnings on investments. Continuously monitor the financial standing and profitability of the UHNW customers under the respective portfolio.
  • Prepare and provide daily clients activities logs, and daily and / or other periodic MIS reports to the Head of Private Banking, enabling the senior management to assess the department’s overall performance.
  • Be proactive in assessing the (U) HNWI clients’ risk profiles, ensuring firm adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Meet Anti Money Laundering regulatory obligations by complying with the control systems set forth by Doha Bank to mitigate / avoid business / operational risks.
  • Ensure completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) norms by maintaining up-to-date KYC information on new / existing client, thereby easing due diligence.
  • Accomplish sales targets by offering exclusive client service and customized products, making use of upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Review the banking transactions of portfolio customers on a daily / weekly basis to ensure smooth running of customers’ needs.
  • Originate, maintain and develop relationships with external customers to expand Doha Bank’s Private Banking portfolio.
  • Promote the Bank’s lending products and investment solutions through continuous sales efforts to realize growth objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and sector outlook studies in order to provide better recommendations to channelize surplus funds of UHNW individuals.
  • Constantly update self on business, economic, legal and competitive scenario, and recommend adequate suggestions to the Head of Private Banking, as appropriate.
  • Promptly respond to or resolve direct / escalated grievances and queries of (U) HNWI clients through different modes of communication, thereby optimizing client satisfaction and retention levels.
  • Evaluate the cash, wealth, and investment needs of current and potential (U) HNWI clients and advice / arrange suitable investment products / services to meet their investment objectives.
  • Take ownership of issues (if any) within the team / with clients and resolve the same promptly and effectively. Coordinate with various bank departments to ensure timely resolution of issues and problems, as appropriate.
  • Liaise with the Treasury & Investments department in placement of trades with the clients.
  • Maintain highest standards of confidentiality, professional conduct, ethics, and integrity while dealing with the clients.
  • 3.Educational Qualifications & Experience :

  • University degree in Business, Finance or equivalent from a recognized university. MBA / MSc and / or MA is preferable.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA is a plus.
  • 5 -13 years of related experience financial services industry, Experience in Private Banking with High Net Worth clients.
  • Bilingual (Arabic & English) candidates are preferred.
