Strategic :

  • Lead the process for the development of procurementprocedures, based on the effective procurement policy, businessneeds and any relevant external regulations ensuring fullcompliance.
  • Design, monitor and review theProcurement budget.
  • Review the serviceagreements from procurement perspective prepared by the procurementand contracts manager in coordination with the Legalteam.
  • Provide operational support to theTender’s Committee during the procurementprocess
  • Take a proactive approach in reviewingand develop current systems, procedures, policies and makingrecommendations and implementing changes
  • Initiate the best possible Procurement strategy for thegroup through deep understanding on the group ultimate objectivesand inputs from direct supervisor and management in alignment tothe organization’s vision and objectives.
  • Evaluate and approve the procurement and logisticspolicies and procedures manual and ensure it is properlycommunicated and employed by all Business across theorganization.
  • Ensure that the practice ofreceiving purchase requests, issuing purchase orders and purchasingproducts is done efficiently, accurately and within company policy& in some cases budget.
  • Operational :

  • Monitor andpurchasing of service, supplies and equipment and compare costs formaximum value-for-money and quality.
  • Maintainthe coordination between Procurement Department employees andBusiness Units and all such activities related to receiving ofpurchase requests.
  • Lead and monitor thecoordination between Procurement Department employees and theFinance Business Unit on transactions related to the Procurementprocess.
  • Direct and Monitor that the ProjectTeam adhere to the strategy of the Procurement Department tosupport the on-time delivery of new and refurbishmentsites.
  • Interface and maintain governancerelationships with all Directors and Business Units whilst morespecifically ensuring that the association with the LegalDepartment is exceptional and productive in ensuring that anystatutory risks and threats in the business are limited oreliminated.
  • People :

  • Ensure compliance with the performancemanagement process and its linkages to learning and development,compensation, promotion, career development and successionplanning.
  • This is done in full collaboration with the HRfunction

  • Contribute to the people developmentinitiatives within the department.
  • Coach andmentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensurecontinuous people development
