Our client, one of the Middle East & Africa’s largest banking institutions are looking to add an experienced Strategy Consultant to a new team which is being formed to manage the overall strategy execution within the bank’s managed subsidiaries to bring them in line with the group’s overall long term strategy goals.
Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall strategy execution of one of the bank’s subsidiaries.
Manage the development a subsidiary annual Business Plan and CapEx plan ensuring alignment with the bank’s long term strategy goals and associated key strategic initiatives
Manage the development, reporting and review of a subsidiary Performance Management approach and process. This entails definition of KPIs across balanced scorecard dimensions, understanding the needs and drivers of each
Deliver quarterly performance management update of a subsidiary while providing perspective and value-adding insight of the performance and execution of strategy
Define, monitor and ensure execution of all subsidiary’s strategic projects portfolio (PMO)
Ensure full alignment of Business Plan, CapEx plan, Performance Management and PMO methodology, process, schedule and tools across the subsidiary
Lead, manage and professionally develop the strategy execution teams in the subsidiary
Demonstrate ability to provide team with support; direction and vision, including motivating people to perform, listening to people, providing feedback, recognizing strengths and providing challenges
Assist the Head of Strategy Execution (Subsidiaries) in identifying any areas for professional development, and act to enhance professional development of self and others
At least 10 years’ experience within the financial services industry, ideally with a front-office banking background, with prior experience in a lead role for strategy execution
Management consulting background within banking industry, with a top tier strategy consulting firm
Deep knowledge in performance management, balanced scorecard approach and MIS
Deep understanding and knowledge of the activities and functions of the various business and support divisions in a financial institution
Strongly developer analytical, numerical, evaluation, and planning skills
Strong management skills and ability to build and maintain a positive team culture
