About Your Job : Leadthe mobile app digital pod to ensure regular release of mobile productenhancements and fixes on schedule in order to support mobile revenue growth,in line with digital product priorities and standards.
Ensure all pod membersunderstand their role, contribution and that they are equipped and able todeliver.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and lead Mobile App product pod sprintsfocusing on quality and delivery - understand the Mobile App product roadmapand priorities, as well as objectives and expected impact of new features.
Define sprint scope based on Mobile App backlog,priorities and capacity. Liaise pod activities around feature release at theend of the sprint including sign-off and initial monitoring to ensure releaseperformance is in line with expectations.
Ensure roles and contribution for each podmember is clear by establishing, communicating and maintaining team guidelines.
Organize sessions to establish MobileApp specific UK UI, back-end deliverables for sprint. Identify risks, issuesand technical challenges by encouraging the team to proactively report these,and remove blockers or pull in additional support to do so.
Ensure delivery is in line with Mobile Appstandards and expectations by conducting UX review / feedback and demo sessions.
Conduct sprint retrospective sessions with theMobile App product pod after each sprint in order to allow pod members toreview sprint activities and deliveries.
Implement changes to Mobile Appproduct pod processes based on team feedback from retrospective sessions toimprove team efficiency and remove friction.
Perform other department duties related tohis / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Conduct daily stand-ups to review progress andensure delivery on schedule, keep stakeholders updated sprint progress andhealth.
Establish team velocity by reviewing sprint performance and activities.
About You : Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience. Required
Experience in estimating work size andcomplexity
Experience in leading design and development andimplementations in 1 or more mobile technology software platforms : iOS (Apple),Blackberry (RIM), Android (Google), (Windows Phone).
Proven track record of efficiently prioritizingcomplex changes and issues.
Previous experience in managing mobile appdelivery preferably in the travel industry.
Formal training and certification on airline reservation systems. Understandingand experience in agile product development.
In depth understanding of airline salesmarketing and distribution mechanisms.
Solid knowledge of core airline systems and applications.
Good understanding of all aspects of mobiledevelopment such as customer experience, UI / UX design, engineering, analytics.
Command of English language.
Ability and confidence to present to seniormanagement.
Ability to quantify the cost and benefits ofprojects.
Strong problem solving skills, analyticalthinking.
Ability to lead a cross-functional team byapplying persuasion instead of authority.
Ability to manage core work aspects ofdelivering new capabilities.
Affinity for mobile technology solutions, driveto self-learn and develop in this rapidly changing field.
Coding,business analysis, UI / UX development skills.
