Job Description

  • Purpose Reporting to Senior Management, the Manager / Deputy Manager, Tournament Bus Services Operations is responsible for;
  • Ensuring the set up of assigned Bus Space matching the planned designManaging the service to ensure an efficient and successful operation is executed and;
  • Training and managing the Workforce onsite and guiding / supporting TBS Drivers The operational locations of TBS services are across all Stadiums, Transport Hubs, Metro Stations, Park & Rides, Bus Staging, Airport, Accommodation & Central Doha.

    This position could be assigned to a single location or could be assigned to multiple areas dependent on the needs of the Tournament and operation.

    Qualifications University Degree requiredFluent in English (fluent in Arabic a plus) Event Experience Minimum 5-10 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievementPrevious involvement in planning and operating complex events in size and nature of a FIFA World Cup Primary Duties Plan and deliver a smooth operation at assigned location ensuring the safe & efficient movement of a large number of BusesOversee load zone operations by counting passengers from queuing to boarding Buses to ensure maximum occupancy while avoiding overloadingManagement and training of all Staff to ensure competency for a complex operation as these Staff will be providing clients / spectators with TBS transport specific information, for e.

    g. times, routes & locations of servicesManagement of TBS Drivers ensuring clear communication & direction onsiteEnsure the accurate scoping and placement of all infrastructure and FF&E in order to deliver an effective, safe and secure locationAssist in the operations to achieve objectives for safety, environmental, quality, cost, delivery and continuous improvementWork closely with Support Services to ensure the delivery and utilization of technologyEnsure operations are executed in compliance with established standard work instructions, training and operation plansDeputise for Senior Management as and when required Knowledge and Skills Required Experience in managing large teams and working with a variety of stakeholdersThe successful candidate will need strong event or bus operations acumen and an excellent track record in planning, operations and stakeholder integrationExtensive operations-related training, especially regarding venue transport operationsProject management experience including planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transport venues would be usefulExperience working with governmental services and agenciesStrong management skills and experience leading large teamsExperience working closely with various internal and external parties including security, police, government agencies and tournament operations teamsExcellent management capabilities and ability to proactively drive operational improvements through changes in processes, procedures and organizational design Key Interfaces Mowasalat Executive LeadershipSupreme Committee for Delivery and LegacyFIFA Local Organising CommitteeTMS Global Executive LeadershipTBS Management3rd party vendors, consultants and contractors as fit Hiring InsightsJob activityPosted today
