The Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the mobile game strategy and product roadmap for a new mobile social app for live football matches.
This role will take ownership of the founder’s original vision and drive execution of the initial release across multiple parallel design and development tracks including native apps, backend interfaces, and advanced API integrations with sports data providers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in eSports or other entertainment sectors and have experience in defining product strategy and goals, conducting market research, overseeing the product launch process, market positioning, go-
to-market strategy, and having overall responsibility for measuring and monitoring product performance and revenue post-launch.
In addition, the Sr. Product Manager will have experience working with clients in the Middle East and have successfully launched at least one revenue-
generating product through its entire product lifecycle.
Manage all aspects of product development including market analysis, product planning, branding, positioning, promotions, differentiation, and competitor analysis.
Define, validate and communicate the product roadmap for mobile apps and backend platform.
Serve as a product owner and UX advocate on behalf of the business owner when interfacing with outsourced design and development partners.
Lead discussions around best practices and continually innovate to identify new opportunities to improve reach, retention and revenue within the game.
Manage the complete lifecycle for the product, from concept through to design, build, launch and iterative improvements.
Work closely with the outsourced development team to ensure the backend interfaces and APIs are able to effectively power the features of the game.
Experience with and relationships in the International football industry including affiliations with football service providers, leagues and clubs.
Sports technology and sports data experience, including eSports, fantasy football, or general sports industry is highly preferred.
Go to market experience, including leading a product launch, executing performance-based marketing campaigns to drive app downloads, and developing concrete plans for attracting and retaining loyal app users.
Five years of Product Management related experience, including appropriate professional certification (Pragmatic Marketing, 280 Group, AIPMM, etc), is preferred.
Management / leadership experience.
Two years of experience in an active role that leveraged digital marketing is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English and at least one other language to both technical and non-technical audiences is preferred.
Experience with project management tools like JIRA, Trello and Confluence.
Strong consumer-facing product management experience with live examples.
Proven track record managing from end-to-end, multiple simultaneous large scale website or mobile app design and development projects.
Agile Scrum experience and understanding of Agile methodologies is a must.
Technical or UX background is preferred, along with the relevant Project Management experience.
Experience defining, tracking, monitoring and reporting on revenue and other product performance metrics.
