About the role To directly control and manage specific airside operations activities within assigned departments with oversight of : Baggage operations, Contractor transportation services, Cargo transport and Non Motorized equipment allocation, GSE serviceability, Cabin cleaning, QR Technical cleaning and allocation, Ramp handling, GSE utilization and handling, Turnaround coordination and flight documentation, initiatives for continuous process improvement and any other services as directed by QAS Management.

Support, monitor and control ground handling service delivery to maintain high operational standards in line with Company polices, respective Customer Airline Standard Ground Handling Agreement and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Operational

  • Accountable for operational control and supervision of ground handling activities within designated areas within the airside departments :
  • Baggage Operations o Airside Baggage Handling Services : Baggage Operational Center, Reflighting Center
  • Airside Transportation and Cargo & Baggage, Crew Transportation, Staff Shuttle Service
  • Cabin Appearance : Cabin Cleaning, QR Technical Cleaning
  • TRC and Ramp Loading and GSE handling : Ramp loading and unloading, GSE utilization and allocation, GSE fleet quality, Turnaround supervision and coordination, documentation handling
  • Responsible for the health and safety of employees within associated areas promoting safe working environment and just culture principles.
  • Ensures that Company’s and individual carrier’s standards are implemented and maintained at agreed service level of quality and compliance.
  • Responsible for the Investigation and reporting of any critical accidents, incidents, operational constraints, supporting Department Manager in the resolution of service deficiencies in timely manner.
  • Monitor, control and utilize resource plans as directed by Department Manager in alignment with agreed service standards for QAS customer airlines.
  • Participate and lead implementation of new technologies and processes within assigned department and provide feedback for any discrepancies related to the project execution.
  • Participate in development of Business cases for operational performance enhancement programs.
  • Participate in the development of resource performance evaluation program and analyze trends.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned department and other internal and external stakeholders for process efficiencies.
  • Work in conjunction with stakeholders deliverables providing the operational expertise as an Operational Subject matter expert.
  • Perform spot checks and report any deviations from Company procedures and Policies.
  • Monitor and work towards execution of established Key Performance Indicators

    About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Ground handling station or operations.
  • Medium sized Station Manager for a ground handling company.
  • Job Specific Skills

  • Must possess a strong, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, equality and respect.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clear, concise and consistent messages.
  • Understands the value of high customer service delivered within a cost conscious culture.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members. Preferred

  • Experience in resource management systems and planning.
  • Experienced in Load Control, TRC, Passenger Services, GSE and Cabin Cleaning Services, Baggage.
  • Experience in ramp VIP, executive jet ground handling operations.
