This is a 9-month, term faculty position inthe arts Qatar Art Foundation Program with an academic rank ofAssistant Professor.
Responsibilities include leading and teachingthe foundation-level curriculum for the Time studio. The Timestudio explores methods for time-based visual and conceptualexploration, including, but not limited to, traditional motionexperiments and basics of storytelling theory, using photography,animation, video, and sound.
The course exposes students to theconcepts of space, performance, interaction, timing, sequencing,editing, and hybrids of those forms to communicate narrativestructures through time-based media.
The studio aims to balance anunderstanding of time as a conceptual framework with thedevelopment of critical and technical skills to allow students toapply the learning in the future major areas of study.
Courseassignments may change as demand requires, at the discretion of theProgram Director.
