Your commitment Reporting to the DepartmentChair of Industrial Trades, the successful candidate will beresponsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broadrange of courses within Industrial Trades Electrical,Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Process Operations programs.

  • S / hewill evaluate student progress and manage the resources of thelearning environment. The successful candidate will liaise withindustry and other educational institutions;
  • participate inindustry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and controlprojects within the specified program area.

    Faculty members willkeep course portfolio documents required for accreditationprocesses and engage in instructional development / improvementplans.

    All employees are expected to contribute to professional andcommunity life within the College and beyond. Qualifications Aminimum of Bachelor’s degree, or Higher National Diploma(or equivalent as designated and approved) in a relevant disciplinefrom a recognized, accredited institution.

    A minimum of years teaching experience in a post-secondary, adulttraining, or industry training environment, A minimum of years ofemployment experience as a practitioner / professional within therelevant discipline.

    Preferred Qualifications : ProfessionalLicensure in the specified discipline where applicable Certificate,Diploma or Degree in Education, Adult Education or VocationalEducation) Record of successful participation / leadership in appliedresearch projects Experience in leadership and innovation intechnology based project Other Required Skills : Commitment toapplied and experiential learning as a pedagogy and a key featureof the College’s mandate Ability to design, develop,deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences andassessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources tomaximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge,skills, and attitudes identified in program outcomes Digitalliteracy and demonstrated fluency in technology systems, and anability to model and facilitate use of current and emerging digitaltools to support research and learning Demonstrated ability todevelop technology-enriched learning environments that enablestudents to be active participants in their ownlearning
