Duties and Responsibilities :

Determine how food should be presented, and createdecorative food displays

Determine productionschedules and helping staff requirements necessary to ensure timelydelivery of services

Estimate amounts and costsof required supplies, such as food and ingredients Inspectsupplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance toestablished standards

Participate in thepreparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food Monitorsanitation practices and follow standards and regulations

Order or requisition food and other supplies needed toensure efficient operation Analyze recipes to assign prices to menuitems, based on food, labor, and overhead costs

Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regularbasis or special functions
